Kutarenko N. Development of organic agriculture in agro-food system of Ukraine.

The thesis grounds the theoretical bases of organic agriculture in agro-food system. The research developed the essence of organic agriculture, outlined socio-economic and environmental factors of development, analyzed regulatory framework and suitable standards. The study has also implemented an assessment of the current situation and prevailing trends of domestic organic agriculture. The structural distribution of the organic farming operators was analyzed by differential characteristics and a type of potential consumer of organic products was singled out. The work identified perspective directions and formulated propositions for the development of organic agriculture in the agro-food system of Ukraine, based on improvement of the state regulation of the organic agriculture development and on the increase of producers' interest and the consumers' motivation.
