Essay

Experimental materials of studying the influence of crossing Mirgorodska breed sows with boars of different genotypes on crosses' productivity and meat quality have been presented. The economic effect of crossing Mirgorodska breed sows with boars of Large White breed of English selection, Pietrain, and half-blooded animals has been defined (1/2 Mirgorodska breed + 1/2 Pietrainand 1/2 Mirgorodska breed + ? Landrace). Crossing with the given genotypes has enabled to increase profitability by 2.06 - 14.87 % together with higher net profit of 17.17 - 124.02 hryvnias per head.
