The paper studies a newspaper macrotext about a crisis situation in the light of the newspaper communication factors (author, reader, reference situation) and text categories (time, space, person) in the modern newspapers New York Times and Sunday Telegraph. Thus the main peculiarities of newspaper communication about a crisis situation are defined.
