Object: Organization of high school students' self-directed educational activities. Aim: to identify and justify theoretically didactic bases of high school students' self-directed educational activities organization. Practical value: studies. elective program "Fundamentals of scientific research activity of senior pupils"; individual plan for self-study material by the subject "Pravoznavstvo" ("Jurisprudence") are designed; questions for control of knowledge in computer software "Assistant II" by the subject "Law" are drawn up. Methods: analysis, generalization, clarification of terms, pedagogical observation, testing, questioning, analysis of pedagogical activity, mathematical processing.
