Essay

Thesis is dedicated to improving the technical characteristics of the carriages of freight railcars by improving the design of cast parts. The unified design of the side-frame, which allows us to solve the problem of breaks of side-frame of bogie in opera-tion, and to ensure maintainability of the due to the unification on the mounting dimen-sions of the side frame and bolster the new carts, increasing to 25 ton axle load and the previous generations of bogie. Improved mathematical model of loading and finite-element models of castings parts allow to take into account the friction forces at the nodes of bogie, as well vertical and horizontal stiffness of spring suspension. Mathematical model of the spatial fluctuations of freight railcars in contrast to existing models allows to evaluate the dynamic performance of the design with the wedge system damping of bogie. A comparative analysis of theoretical and experimental investigation of the dynamics of railcars, featuring a high convergence of the results of mathematical modeling of spatial oscillations of cars and dynamic testing of prototype railcars on the railways. As a result of the feasibility of the developed technical solutions identified additional net pre-sent value at one side frame from the introduction of a unified side-frame.
