Essay

Thesis first comprehensive study of two European species of freshwater mollusks. As the result of research the existence of two genetically discrete species Viviparus viviparus and Viviparus contectus is confirmed, genetic divergence of which corresponds to the level of the single genera. The analysis of GIS-modelling, individual fecundity, sex ratio and conchological variation these species. No sex chromosomes in same species. With the help of chromosome measurements it is maintained that there are eventual differences between females and males of both species
