Essay

The study involved 139 patients with chronic hepatitis C, of whom 104 patients had HCV-associated liver cirrhosis. The complex clinical-laboratory and instrumental analysis of the peculiarities of HCV-associated liver cirrhosis, depending on its stage was performed. Predictive value of biochemical markers (De Ritis ratio, index APRI) for the differentiation between classes of HCV-associated liver cirrhosis was established. Peculiarities of virological and biochemical responses during standard antiviral treatment in patients with compensated HCV-associated cirrhosis depending on the virus genotype and presence of metabolic syndrome were evaluated.
