Matviychuk K. Peculiarities of complex treatment of generalized periodontitis with consideration of adaptation-stress response in patients with complicated duodenal ulcer disease.

Object of the research – generalized periodontitis on the background of duodenal ulcer complicated by bleeding and ulcer perforation. The purpose of the research is effectiveness increase of dental care to patients with generalized periodontitis on the background of duodenal ulcer complicated by influence of stress. Methods: dental clinical and X-Ray examination; functional diagnostics of duodenal ulcer; psychological methods; determination of: hemoglobin concentration in blood, adrenalin concentration in daily urine, cortisol in blood and oral fluid; determination of malonic dialdehyde concentration and activity of enzymes (superoxide dismutase, catalase, nitric oxide anion and hydrogen sulfite) in blood and oral fluid; determination of peroxide erythrocyte hemolysis; cytological diagnostics of periodontal pocket contents; mathematical analysis. An original method of sequential therapy of generalized periodontitis on a background of duodenal ulcer disease complicated by perforation or bleeding that starts from department of anesthesiology and intensive care, where personal hygiene of the oral cavity is not possible, then continues in surgical or dental departments/offices and ends at the dental clinic/polyclinic.
