The thesis presents a comprehensive historical and philosophical analysis and systematization of formation and development of philosophical and law school at the University of St. Vladimir, proves the importance of this scientific school and discovers heuristic potential for the development of modern national philosophical and legal sciences, history, philosophy of law and legal theory. It contains studies of the specific features of philosophical and legal thought in national culture of the XIX century, reveals theoretical sources of philosophical and legal studies at the University of St. Vladimir, performs historical and philosophical reconstruction and critical analysis of the philosophical and legal doctrines of K. Nevolin, S. Ornatskyy, M. Hlyebnikov, M. Rennenkampf, ?. Trubetskoy, E. Spektorskyy, their philosophical and methodological principles. The thesis reveals the role and importance of philosophical and legal schools of St. Vladimir for development of modern Ukrainian philosophy.
