Essay

This dissertation was aimed to provide morphological, experimental and clinical groundings in order to enhance the effectiveness of orthodontic treatment for patients with dental fluorosis. This correction was performed by using up-to-date arc appliances and by developing the complex of measures to improve the quality of bracket systems. Clinical and laboratory findings taken from the orthodontic patients with fluorosis and without it were carefully analyzed that enabled to evaluate the condition of their bite and dentition. Physical and experimental study allowed us to determine the optimal value of adhesion force between the orthodontic appliance and intact dental enamel and fluorosis affected enamel. Electronic microscopy of contact enamel surfaces of intact teeth and fluorosis-affected teeth followed the orthodontic correction and different ways of preliminary enamel preparation allowed us to find out the dependence of the adhesion intensity on the width of contact spacing between adjacent surfaces and the duration of enamel etching. Develop a new method of preparation teeth affected with fluorosis to fixing orthodontic appliances.
