Object: literary works by Arkadii and Borys Struhatski (novels and fiction stories of the "Noon Series", Maks Kamerrer's trilogy and "The Final Circle of Paradise", "Limping Fate", " Snail on the Slope", "Far Rainbow", "Five Spoons of Elixir") and prose by Oles Berdnyk ("Paths of Titans", "Heart of Universe", "Star Corsair", "Chalice of Amrita", "Vohnesmikh", "Two Abysses"). Research aim: to study the comparative typology of science fiction by Arkadii and Borys Struhatski and Oles Berdnyk, to examine peculiarities of the poetics of their texts. Research methods: comparative-typological, comparative-historical, biographical, cultural and historical. Results, novelty: for the first time in the Ukrainian literature studies the various comparative analysis of literary works of outstanding representatives of Russian and Ukrainian science fiction of the second part of the twentieth century - Arkadii and Borys Struhatski and Oles Berdnyk - was carried out; the range of common fantastic problems, motives and images in the texts of the artists was defined; the similarities and contrasts within poetically features of the creative heritage of science-fiction writers were explored; the common and different in author's reception of the twentieth century philosophical concepts of the evolution of human civilization were identified. Area of Application: the courses of history of Ukrainian and Russian literatures, literary theory and comparative literature studies in higher education institutes. Sphere of Application: courses of Ukrainian and world literary history, literary theory and comparative literature study at higher educational establishments.
