Object of study - the process of estimating the durability of the axle boxes indoor multi-purpose wagons. The research was carried out on the basis of the following methods: probability theory, reliability theory and mathematical statistics in forming a probability model of distribution of an operating time of cylindrical bearings. The dependence of the parameter of stream of refusals universal covered wagons due to the heat roller axle box in time. The results are used for carriage-building factories in the design axlebox bearing units and on the Railways of Ukraine in the operation of wagons with roller bearings.
