Essay

The object of study is a pulse electromagnetic wave diffraction on objects embedded in a dielectric half-space. The goal is to study the electromagnetic pulse diffraction on the subsurface objects and to analyze radar images. Results: the numerical model of the corresponding problem of diffraction is developed; the spatial-temporal transformations of diffracted waves are investigated; the regularities of radarogram formation are determined for a number of key objects; the imaging possibilities of differential antenna systems are investigated. The area is radiophysics.
