Marunkevych Y. Pecularities of treatment and rehabilitation of patients with schizophrenia taking into account the somatic pathology

The thesis deals with one of the most important problems of modern psychiatry - schizophrenia. Significant theoretical and practical issues of diagnostics and optimization of schizophrenia treatment were determined and generalized: based on the analysis of the clinical and psychopathologic, clinical and pathodynamic, social characteristics and quality of life the scientific grounding of the role of concomitant somatic pathology for the disease pathogenic mechanisms was offered and new approaches to the complex pathogenetically proved treatment of schizophrenia were developed. The features of the schizophrenia clinical aspect were determined, the relation of symptomatology and correlation of the schizophrenia onset with the somatic pathology were established, the peculiarities of the quality of patients' life with different variants of concomitant somatic pathology at different stages of the disease were revealed. The own scheme of treatment with the use of antidepressants was offered and its clinical efficacy was proved.
