Voronina O. Mental and behavioral disorders in students with smoking (diagnosis, symptoms, treatment and prevention)

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of mental and behavioral disorders on the background of smoking and in young adults. Integrated psychodiagnostic study established gender features of tobacco dependence formation, set the motivational structure of early smoking and tobacco dependence, to analyze the type of behavior of persons addicted of tobacco, the degree of nicotine dependence and maladaptive personality characteristics at initial stage of formation of tobacco dependence. We set effect of nonpsychotic mental disorders in young students on smoking initiation and progression in tobacco addiction. Investigated changes the type of character of personality smokers and coping strategies of medical students reduced quality of life in initial stage of tobacco dependence, their gender characteristics. Assessed the effectiveness of comprehensive therapy, scientifically justified, developed and implemented a system of psychoprophylaxis and psychotherapy in combined treatment of younger with mental and behavior disorders on the background of smoking.
