The thesis for scientific degree of candidate of technical sciences in specialty 05.16.02 - Metallurgy of ferrous and nonferrous metals and special alloys. National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine, Dnepropetrovsk, 2015. The thesis is devoted to development of the theoretical foundations of crystallization processes and methods of external influence on melt just before crystallization, the interaction of biphase gas jets with metallic melt, development of rational technology of its treatment in crystallizer of CCM by using inoculators. The results of theoretical and experimental researches of processes of interaction inert fusible inoculators with metallic melt were summarized. By using of modern computer facilities and the applied software reliable data concerning kinetics of interactions powder inoculators and melt just before its crystallization were received. The most rational way of adding inoculators in the continuous casting of steel is its injection in form of granulometry heterogeneous powder in the jet of an inert carrier gas through a hollow stopper-injector of a tundish directly in submerged nozzle and next in a crystallizer. Application of the granulometry heterogeneous iron powder allows obtaining the metallic suspension with a high concentration of steady crystallization nucleus with favorable parameters for the heterogeneous crystallization after completing melt down of fine fractions and melt reaching melting temperatures of the powder. Total capital investments are $1223,47. Annual economic result is $1,18 millions per year.
