Essay

Object of study: processes of the formation and development of regional food market. Objective: justification of the organizational and economic foundations and practical recommendations on the formation and development of regional food markets. Methods: abstract and logic, analysis and synthesis, comparative, graphical, factorial, correlation and regression analysis, trending analysis. Novelty: advanced nature of the concept of "regional food market", which should be understood as a holistic socio-economic system based on the cooperation between buyers and sellers of food, that based on commodity-money, organizational and economic relations and focused on balancing the interests of both economic entities and consumers, systematization of factors in the formation of institutional and organizational support of the regional food market in the context of different hierarchical and administrative levels and regulatory planes, classification of regional food markets, methodical approach to the assessment of food security in the region, which, unlike the existing ones, allowed to extend the system of indicators of food security, including in their structure adequacy of food consumption; economic availability of products; the capacity of the internal market; regional food independence for separate products. Scope of application: in activities of the Department of Agricultural Development of Lviv Regional State Administration in the development of mechanisms for implementation of regional programs to support agriculture, the Lviv Chamber of Commerce to determine the priority areas to minimize risks of enterprises - subjects of the regional food market that engaged in foreign economic activity for Department of Economic Development, Trade and Industry of the Lviv Regional State Administration in the process of amending and modifying of "Lviv Development Strategy until 2015", in the educational process of Precarpathian Institute named after Hrushevsky of the PJC "Higher education institution "Interregional Academy of Personnel Management" in the number of educational teaching disciplines.
