Essay

The work is devoted to the study of clinical course and treatment features in bronchial asthma (BA) patients with obesity (OB). It was revealed that BA patients with OB compared to patients with normal weight had more severe course of BA, including increased frequency of exacerbations, hospitalizations, acute respiratory infections, worsening of asthma control and quality of life level. Higher inflammation rate in BA patients with OB was manifested by increased level of CRP and pro inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, TNF-?). We showed the expediency of speleotherapy utilization in combination with weight loss or immunomodulator use in rehabilitation therapy of BA patients with OB. Industry - medicine.
