Essay

Object: age-related macular degeneration (AMD), dry form. Purpose: optimization of drug therapy for patients with the dry form of AMD by pathogenetically substantiated correction of local and systemic immune status by the inclusion immunocorrecting drug in complex therapy. Methods: clinical, ophthalmological ,immunological statistics.Increase scientific knowledge about the age patterns of decrease in adaptive responses to fotostress test in patients with the dry form of AMD , a decrease in the functional activity of cellular immunity . Refined scientific data on the state of humoral immunity system . For the first time demonstrated the presence of sensitization of peripheral blood lymphocytes to the antigens of retinal and uveal tract in patients with the dry form of AMD. First established system cytokine imbalance in the tear fluid of patients with AMD. The results of the work are adopted in 4 leading ophthalmic hospitals of Ukraine, the main provisions of the work are included in lecture's program and practical work of ophthalmology chairs in 3 Medical Universities of Ukraine. Sphere of use - medicine, ophthalmology.
