Horna M. Statistical Support for the governance of Social Insurance Funds

Thesis work is devoted to the substantiation and development of informational and analytical support for management of fund of obligatory state social insurance of Ukraine, which is formed on the basis of the results of the statistical analysis of the state and development of the national social security system. The work contains generalization of modern scientific views to the definition of the nature, features of functioning and development of social security; the regulatory and legal framework of regulation of protection of people against social risks was analyzed. The author proposed system of indicators of statistical support for management of social insurance funds; illustrated the results of statistical analysis of activities of social security funds in Ukraine; identified weaknesses and possibilities of functioning of social non-budgetary funds. The results of this analysis serve as a basis for adoption of respective decisions on informational and analytical support for management of social insurance funds the implementation of which ensure the financial stability of social insurance funds and correspond to the priority provisions of the sustainable development strategy. The author substantiated recommendations concerning the improvement of statistical support for management of social insurance funds by expanding sources of primary information on social insurance for drawing up auxiliary accounts of social security.
