The manuscript presents results of investigation of the species composition of nematodes from the genus Oswaldocruzia in Western Palaearctic. Characteristics of morphology, biology, taxonomy, host and geographical specificity of studied species are described. Identification keys are given. Experimental results on development of free-living stages, ways of infection and Possibility of post-cyclic parasitism are presented
