Essay

Object: The object of study: endocrine ophthalmopathy. Objective: To increase the effectiveness of comprehensive diagnosis of endocrine ophthalmopathy a study of morphometric and functional features extraocular muscles and retina in makuly. Metody: the conventional eye examination; exophthalmometer, CT orbits, optical coherence tomography, a method perimetry and method for automated analysis of two-dimensional images of eyeballs; statistics. Supplemented with scientific evidence that the endokrynniy ophthalmopathy, regardless of thyroid function, clinical symptoms often manifested by changes of the soft tissues of the orbit as ekzoftalmu, thickening of the extraocular muscles with mobility limitation eyeballs. For the first time in patients with endocrine ophthalmopathy, according to optical coherence tomography, retinal reaction set in in the form of macular swelling in 52.4% of cases. Expanded scientific evidence that the extraocular muscles thickness in patients with endocrine ophthalmopathy directly proportional to the degree of severity of the process. Specified scientific evidence that violations of the mobility of the eyeballs of patients with endocrine ophthalmopathy, regardless of its clinical form and function of the thyroid gland, often defined in two ways. It has been shown that patients with endocrine ophthalmopathy, during normal mobility of the eyeballs in 19.1% of cases determined by thickening extraocular muscles, indicating that the morphological changes in the muscles that do not affect their function aktyvnist.Rezultaty the studies introduced in practice advisory clinics and love oftalmoonkologii SI "Institute of eye diseases and tissue therapy Filatova, Ukraine ".
