The autor analyzed the functions and semantic structure of word in political discourse. In the thesis is analized the process of semantic competition and mechanisms, which restrict access to political discourse. There are investigated differences between professional and public sphere of using of political concepts. There are uncovered properties of text and its political structure. In the thesis is developed the scheme of comparison semantic structure of a democratic political institutional discourse, discourse of undemocratic regimes and of the political discourse of the enemy. The autor discovered semantic paradoxes of a functioning of political discourses.
