Aksenov S. The method of calculating durability of asphalt pavement on metal structures.

The thesis analyzes dependence of conditions of asphalt pavement on metal structures from various factors and develops analytical models and analytical dependence for developing a method of calculating durability of asphalt pavement on metal structures for crack resistance considering performance of asphalt with joint action of temperature changes and wheels of vehicles. The thesis proves choice of durability conditions and limit criteria for assessing crack resistance of asphalt pavement considering joint action of temperature and transport (seasonal annual and diurnal temperature). Engineering method of calculation asphalt pavement on metal structures and sequence of its design has been developed. The results indicate that the theoretical calculations are in satisfactory agreement with experimental data. We have developed practical recommendations for improving durability of asphalt pavement on metal structures and practical application of thesis research data in the design of asphalt concrete pavements on metal structures thus improving their lifetime and receive economic effect.
