Object of research is process of operation of shunting diesel locomotives. The purpose of researches is reception of diesel characteristics for various kinds of works. Four kinds of shunting work for which new diesel characteristics and means for their realization are offered are allocated. Results of researches can be used for preparation of shunting diesel locomotives for use at stations with the operating conditions.
