Yurenko K. Optimization of treatment of patients with vocal cord polyps and laryngeal granulomas associated with laryngopharyngeal reflux

Thesis is devoted to the actual problem - optimization of the treatment of patients with vocal cord polyps and laryngeal granulomas associated with pathological reflux through comprehensive diagnosis, which reduces the number of relapses, and based on the results of treatment of 193 patients with laryngeal polyps and 68 of patients with laryngeal granulomas. Testing patients for scale RSI and RFS, followed by esophageal pH monitoring also with morphological and immunohistochemical examination revealed pathological reflux (LFR) of 33.7% of the patients with polyps and 48.5% with laryngeal granulomas. Determination of the number of recurrence of polyps of the larynx was performed for dynamic monitoring of patients for 3 years. Application of comprehensive diagnosis improves the quality of surgical treatment due to edema associated inflammation of the mucous membrane of the larynx, reducing the duration of treatment and reduce the number of relapses in patients with laryngeal granulomas at 41.11%, and polyps of the larynx - at 14.29%.
