Essay

The thesis contains the results of theoretical and methodological analysis, the results of empirical studies of mental and personal means of self-aggressive behavior of adolescents with intellectual disabilities and their interpretation. It also includes theoretical approaches, directions, forms, objects, technologies of psychological support in personal self-regulation of aggressive behavior in adolescents with intellectual disabilities. The systematic description of the phenomenon is done by means of theoretical and methodological analysis of patterns of light and moderate deficiency in mental development, and empirical study of psychological mechanisms, components and nature of the formation of self-regulation. A protocol for observing the motivation of aggression and its objects is designed. A questionnaire for research of the "family - adolescent" system is designed by the author, which includes the specification of family life. The criteria by M. Alvord have been specified, and they have been interpreted by the author, taking into consideration the specifics of development and functioning of adolescents under the influence of intellectual development abnormalities. The determination specifics of aggressive behavior in adolescent are defined, basing on the level of intellectual development impairments (light and moderate).The concept of the object of aggression is specified, and it has been researched that in adolescents with intellectual disabilities realization of aggression happens according to the law of aggression displacement. The model of self-regulation behavior in adolescents with intellectual disabilities is experimentally determined, and it includes three components: the behavioral, the motivational and the emotional-volitional. A multifunctional support technology and algorithm of forming self-aggressive behavior in adolescents with intellectual disabilities is designed. It's usage enables a practicing psychologist to create a proper environment for increasing social adaption of such adolescents.
