The object of study: the processes of socio-economic development of rural areas of Ukraine. Objective: To develop theoretical and methodological and practical bases of socio-economic development of rural areas in order to create effective public policy aimed at restoring villages and improving the quality of life of the rural population. Methods: analysis, synthesis, induction and deduction, abstraction, ascent from the abstract to the concrete, logical and theoretical generalization, statistical analysis, econometric modeling, optimization and scenario modeling, historical, retrospective analysis. Scientific novelty: for the first time Conceptual bases of management of socio-economic development of rural areas through the formation of an integrated system of monitoring his condition; The mechanism of socio-economic development of rural areas, methodology of forming an integrated system of indicative planning of socio-economic development of rural areas, methodological approaches forecasting socio-economic development of rural areas Vinnitsa region; were further developed the concept of "rural development" conceptual provisions on the formation of the system management objectives of socio-economic development of rural areas, methodology analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of rural areas of business activity to improve the socio-economic development of rural areas.
