Tuliuliuk K. Linguopragmatics of sense perception words in the aspect of gender (on the basis of English prose of the beginning of the 20th century)

This thesis presents a complex study of linguopragmatic peculiarities of the lexical-semantic field (LSF) of sense perception, its structure and functions taking into account the aspect of gender and genre of the literary work. The aim of the research is to identify the specific use of lexical units belonging to the LSF of "sense perception" in the men's and women's narratives. The integrative study of sense perception words functioning in the text with consideration of gender analysis proves to be topical, as the present-day multifaceted linguistic research focuses on systematic study of language units. However, lexical units denoting sense perception remain understudied within the above mentioned aspects of research.
