The thesis identifies, analyzes, and describes the lexical-semantic field (LSF) FACE, which represents a set of English-speaking lexicographically registered words, phrases and idiomatic units, nominating parts of the face, facial movements and changes in facial expressions, which reflect human emotions, and/or act as means of non-verbal communication. The work determines main approaches to the study of lexical semantic field and concrete vocabulary.
