Trofimova N. Congenital glaucoma pediatric surgery optimization

The object of study - congenital glaucoma. Purpose: To increasing efficiency of congenital glaucoma surgical treatment at children. Methods: ophtalmological, morfological, statistical data processing; Maklacov tonometry, SL 1000 (Alcon), Ultrascan, CineScan, 3 mirror gonio/fundus lens (Volk), Heine Beta 200. Dispersive viscoelastic, containing hyaluronic acid, added during sinusotrabeculotomy in rabbits' eyes experimental study decreases the activity of the connective tissue formation in the intrascleral filtrative channel. The new technique of congenital glaucoma surgical treatment - viscosinusotrabeculotomy was elaborated. This technique allowed to create and save the new ways of liquid outflow and to receive stable intraocular pressure compensation in 98,7% of cases in the early postoperative period with preservation of the intraocular pressure compensation in the follow-up: 94,4% - in a year, 91,2% - in two years and 88,9% - in 3 years post surgery. Results of the study are introduced in the SI "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the NAMS of Ukraine", Odessa and Chernigov regional hospitals.
