Zuiev V. Criminal procedural guarantees of individual rights in international cooperation in criminal proceedings.

The thesis reveals significant issues dealing with the problem of the provision of procedural guarantees for persons to whom various criminal proceedings during international cooperation in criminal cases are applied. There were pointed out arguments regarding to researched safeguards as a system including guarantees of human rights and freedoms, procedural guarantees and also guarantees for the organization of international cooperation. The thesis defines the procedural nature of international cooperation in criminal proceedings, as well as the provision of international legal assistance and extradition. Guarantees concerning each of the procedural forms were highlighted. The conditions of appeal against procedural decisions, actions and omissions of public authorities, as well as individual officials related to international cooperation and international legal assistance and extradition in criminal proceedings were researched. It was argued in favor the position according to which the system of guarantees of human rights should be improved. A range of practical propositions aimed to improve the criminal procedural mechanism of provision of rights and legal interests of persons, who had been involved during international cooperation, international legal assistance and extradition in criminal cases, were formulated.
