Essay

This thesis aims to provide an actual scientific and technical solution on a scientific foundation for the task of the formation of bioflocculants on the basis of nanoparticles of iron compounds and microalgae cells and for their use in processes of extraction of fine gold and other metals from ores. Colloidal and chemical mechanisms were studied and developed as well as the condi-tions of formation of biocomposites on the basis of microalgae cells of Chlorella vulgaris and ultradisperse particles of iron compounds. The thesis describes the possibility of using biocomposites, as described above, as high-selective flocculants for the extraction of fine gold from ores, which in addition gives the chance practically for the first time, to apply magnetic separation for gold benefication.
