Essay

Object of study: processes of modeling and estimation of reliability of software tools of software and hardware systems during their designing. Research methods: maximum likelihood method, method of the least squares, Markov chains, systems of differential equations of Kolmogorov, simulation modeling. Theoretical and practical results: information technology of evaluation of reliability of software taking into account the secondary defects, which improved the accuracy of estimating the reliability of software during the execution of the procedures of their verification and validation, is developed. Scientific novelty: a method of assessing the number of secondary defects according to the statistics of the detected defects and a method of determining the average intensity of defects and the average change taking into account the secondary defects are developed, probabilistic models of the reliability of software through modifications are improved. Implementation: results are implemented in NPP "Radiy" and "Radix" (Kirovograd). Scope of use: assessment of reliability of software tools of software and hardware complexes.
