Svyntsova I. Lingual-stylistic Means of Artistic Influence in the Lyrical-Poetic Discourse of Byron

This dissertation suggests a comprehensive study of the lingual-stylistic means of poetic speech that make an artistic (aesthetic) influence on the reader in the idiodiscourse of Byron. It focuses on revealing lingual-poetic specificity of dominant lexical, syntactic and euphonic means of creating this influence. It provides pragmatic semantic analysis of idiostylistic use of tropes, precedent names and exclamations; describes Byron's preferential techniques of structural semantic modification of simple and complex syntactic structures and determines stylistic peculiarity of euphonic means of artistic influence, that are based on specific verbal instrumentation, semantization of rhyme and skillful use of certain rhythmic and prosodic methods. The work provides new relevant linguistic data on the system of values that are significant for understanding the author's personal world view and for the development of the theory of poetic language in general.
