The object is current "theoretical space", which highlights the relationship between civilizations of East and West. The aim is to use and further development of theoretical studies of S. Huntington in analyzing the content and nature of political processes, caused by a change in the balance of forces between East and West at the end of XX - beginning of XXI century. The methods are dialectical, historical, systemic, comparative. The work carried out in-depth understanding of the theory of the "clash of civilizations" elaborated by American political scientist Samuel Huntington and its further development. The features of the socio-political processes in the companies belonging to the Hindu, Confucian-Buddhist (sinsky) and Islamic civilizations. The specificity of the Islamic project of globalization as one of the most radical component of modern civilization and the Islamic factor in the development of alternative political processes in the world today. Deepened understanding of the process of transformation of the unipolar world in polycivilizational system where a more active role is played by the civilization of the East.
