The following parameters were determined in the study of Al ions phytotoxicity: oxalic acid and phenolic compounds contents in root exudates solution, root and shoot length and weigth, tolerance indexes, relative water content and turgescence of plant tissues, content of photosynthetic pigments, accumulation of Al ions, acidification activity and relative acidification activity, stomatal status on abaxial and adaxial epidermis, O2•- generation, TBARS, activity of SOD, catalase and peroxidase, content of total phenolics, flavonoid and anthocyanin contents, activity of phenylalanine ammonia-lyase.
