The notion of artificial water body was formulated. Natural and artificial features of artificial water bodies were analyzed. Legal regime of artificial water body which can be created within private land plot was researched. Conditions of complex legal regulation of artificial water bodies' creation and use were described .Legislation of foreign countries which regulate artificial water bodies' creation and use within private land plots were analyzed. Stages of the development of Ukrainian legislation which regulates artificial water bodies' creation and use within private land plots were studied.
