Essay

The object of research - cable aging under the action of strong electric fields, high temperature, radiation, moisture, which leads to a change in the surface properties of polymeric insulation. The purpose of the study is to develop and substantiate the diagnostic system to detect changes in the surface properties of the polymeric insulation of cables in the process of aging under the influence of a strong electric field, high temperature and ionizing radiation using triboelectrical potential. Methods: Fredholm integral equations of the first and second kind, the integral Fourier transform, the integral of the distribution function, statistical analysis of the measurement results, the correlation analysis of time dependencies, mathematical processing by filtering time series using linear non-recursive digital filter. Theoretical and practical results: it was determined the distribution of surface charge density and the voltage drop along the length of the symmetrical insulated conductors in the presence of an air gap between them and the defective thin layer on the surface of the polymeric insulation based on analytical solutions. Scientific novelty: it was first implementation and substantiating of hardware diagnostics system of surface properties of the polymeric insulation, which is associated with the accumulation of triboelectrical charges, control and data cables under the influence of a strong electric field, temperature and radiation using triboelectrical potential. The realization degree: the results of the thesis are introduced when performing diagnostic tests NPP cables under the contractual those with engineering and technical center "KORO" and in the educational process of the department electrical insulation and cable technology of the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute". Application area: electrical power industry.
