Tymkiv M. Biological properties of E.coli isolated from patients with non-infectious diseases of the colon.

Object - microbiological changes and alteration of biological properties of E. coli isolated from patients with ulcerative colitis (UC), Crohn's disease (CD) and colorectal cancer (CC); goal - improving of diagnostic principles and treatment of infectious diseases of the colon UC, CD, and CC in order to reduce the risk of their development on the basis of the research of microecological changes’ character and biological properties of E.coli; methods - microbiological, immunological, biological, mathematical variation statistics; results – there were supplemented new scientific data of changes in microbiocenosis of patients with UC, CD, and CC; new data on the biological properties of E. coli, isolated from patients with UC, CD, and CC were received; between-strains differences E. coli on adhesive properties, antigenic spectrum, plasmid profile and its phenotypic manifestations were grounded; a comparative study of the spectrum of serotypes of E. coli, isolated from patients with UC, CD and CC were carried out; a selective antimicrobial action of salofalk while treating of patients with chronic inflammation of the colon was established; the stimulating effect of Escherichia’s lipopolysaccharide on humoral immunity was proven in vivo in patients with UC, CD, and CC; there were defined changes of cytokines’ induction under lipopolysaccharide of Escherichia, isolated from patients with chronic inflammatory diseases of the colon and cancer patients; branch – medicine.
