Chernyshev O. Dismorphic pain feeling in adolescents with nonpsychotic mental disorders (diagnostics, clinic, therapy)

To study the peculiarities of pain characteristics in adolescents, we have examined 304 patients with major mental disorder complicated with pain syndrome. The study was conducted in six stages: primary diagnosis, clinical psychopathological study, complex psychopharmatherapy, family therapy and therapy effectiveness evaluation, katamnesis. As a result of clinical and psychopathological research in adolescents it was found the main characteristics of patients who were divided into three groups: social-demographic (conflict in the family, violation of child-parent relationship, breach of interaction between parents), clinical and psychopathological (severity and localization of pain) and pathopsychological (neurotic traits, depressive tendencies, aggression, abuse in the family relationship) that were targets of psychopharmacotherapy and psychotherapy. The obtained data became the basis for the development of combined psychopharmatherapy, aimed at leveling the mental manifestations of the disease, as well as purchase pain. During the psychopharmatherapy course it was provided complex individual and group psychotherapeutic interventions for adolescents and their parents. The psychopharmatherapy complex allowed to reduce psychiatric symptoms significantly and to reduce clinical severity of pain. As a result of complex therapy it was identified positive changes at the individual psychological level in all groups of adolescents.
