Essay

The process of Ukrainian black and white dairy breed herds transformation into Holstein ones as well as the changes in milk production, reproductive capacity, economic use, lifetime productivity of cows and the reasons for their culling from the herd, firstcalved cows' exterior features, morphological and functional parameters of the udder occuring under the absorbing crosbreeeding have been studied.The highest values were observed in cows with the value of udder-mass-metric index of 13,0-14,9. It has been found out that using cows with conventional Holstein breed bloodness of 75,0-87,4 % and 87,5-99,9 %, i.e. obtained by absorbing crossing,is the the most cost-effective.
