Essay

Thesis deals with proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR) study in case of mechanical eyeball injuries in early posttraumatic period. Immunological indicators of IL-1beta, IL-6, circulating immune complexes, S Ig А, prostaglandins-E2 (PG-E2) in serum, clinic, dynamics of S Ig A level were investigated in patients from main group (complex treatment: bromelayin+trypsin+rutin) and control group (conventional management). For the first time it was found that the patients with PVR had higher indices of S Ig A in serum in early posttraumatic period than patients without PVR. Levels of IL-1 , IL-6, circulating immune complexes, PG-E2 in serum don t correlate with the PVR developing in early posttraumatic period. Normalizing effect of this drug on the concentration of S Ig A was established in serum of patients in early posttraumatic period. Scientific data on the role of immune status, stabilizing the inflammatory response to mechanical injury of the eyeball within two months were refined (severe level in 56.3% of patients from the main group, in 47.4 % of patients from the control group). PVR stabilization was observed in 46.9 % of patients (main group) and 32.4 % of patients (control group) after two-year complex treatment during 2 months, 2-3 times a year.
