Drabovska V. Linguocultural Conception of American Lexicography.

This dissertation represents a complex linguocultural conception analysis of dictionary sources, which correspond to American lexicographic traditions and register the American English as a national variety. The dictionary specifics imply presence of American English linguocultural units corpus represented by national realia, objective and subjective culture value and notional aspects as well as sociocultural characteristics оf American behavior. The suggested methods of culture-specific language units representation include their differentiation and labeling according to concentration spheres of nationally marked elements in the linguoculture and their reference to key culture concepts.
