Chystiakova A. Management of Intellectual Property in the Knowledge Economy

Research object: intellectual property management; the purpose of the work: the further development of theoretical and methodological bases and practical recommendations on increasing the efficiency of intellectual property management at the machine-building enterprise in the knowledge economy; research methods and instruments: structural and logical analysis, historical and logical method, statistical analysis, the method of graphic representation, questionnaires and surveys, the method of expert estimations, taxonomic analysis, hierarchy analysis, cluster analysis, the method of the "center of gravity", method of the logical generalization; The concept basis of intellectual property management has been formed, the definitions of the terms «intellectual property of an enterprise» and «intellectual property management» have been specified. The classification of intellectual property has been generalized. The author has defined the level of intellectual property management at the investigated machine-building enterprises. Analytical procurement of intellectual property management at the machine-building enterprise is offered to be based on both process and functional approaches. The methodological provisions concerning the mechanism of intellectual property management have been improved. The lines for realizing the mechanism of management of an enterprise intellectual property in the knowledge economy have been proposed. The author has also developed the approach to choosing the priority guidelines for intellectual property management at the machine-building enterprise; subject and degree of introduction: developments are put in practical activity of PJSC "Plant PIVDENKABEL", LTD "Kharkiv plant materials handling equipment" Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics at teaching of discipline the "Enterprise economy" and "Protection of intellectual property rights in the project management"; sphere of use: innovative activity of machine-building enterprises, educational process.
