The thesis is devoted to deepening theoretical positions, methodological approaches and improve the grounding of practical recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the crisis management in engineering companies.The economic content and features of crisis management in the process of engineering enterprises by clarifying the essence of the concept of "crisis". On this basis, it was clarified the economic concept of "crisis management", which is implemented through the use of the mechanism as the sum of its elements and system interconnections between them, taking into account the purposes of crisis management and the need to implement it in order to prevent, preventing and overcoming crisis phenomena in the development of the company and its accumulation crisis potential. Analyzed and systematized methodical approaches to the evaluation of the effectiveness of the crisis management in engineering enterprises, revealed their strengths, weaknesses and on this basis reasonably possible use in domestic enterprises. The factors influence the deployment of the crisis in the mechanical engineering sector (business, industry, national and international economy), including a key position given to the company and industry factors. Identified crisis in the engineering enterprises activities based on calculation of financial condition and methods of assessment of probability of bankruptcy. The features and conditions governing the functioning of the inefficiency of crisis management in engineering enterprises by identifying the phases of crisis and implemented crisis measures, and taking into account the results of the calculation of the duration of the financial cycle. To improve the effectiveness of the crisis management proposed conceptual position of the formation mechanism of crisis management, based on the scientific substantiation of tools analytical study of crises and synthesis of the structural elements of the mechanism, taking into account the depth of the crisis affected the company, namely the strategic objective of crisis management, key objectives (prevention, stabilization, elimination of the crisis), the criteria and means of their achievement, scientific and methodological support crisis management, implementation of a set which allows you to create crisis measures at all levels of company management, depending on the depth of the crisis and assess its potential bailout. Their implementation is based on the improvement of scientific and methodical evaluation of the effectiveness of its provisions and operation of scientific and methodological approaches to the selection mechanism for crisis management in the mechanical engineering.
