Essay

The dissertation work proposes new methodology of determination of seismic acceleration in earth dams in wave setting. Algorithm of numerical solution of assigned problem using the three-ply mesh scheme was developed. Comparison of experimental data and results of calculation according to the developed methodology confirms adequate accuracy of the proposed numerical method. On the basis of developed methodology the software program was designed that allows taking into account propagation of seismic waves both within the structure and the foundation. The result of the software program operation is obtaining of seismic acceleration values that change along the dam height, both in view of distribution diagram and table form Applying the results of determination of seismic acceleration provided by the developed software program a range of seismic stability calculations of earth dams being currently designed by the Ukrhydroproject PJSC and Hydrotechproject Limited. Obtained results of stress-strain state, strength and stability of earth dams slopes in case of earthquake has been analyzed. Branch - construction.
