Stolar V. Substantiation and evaluation of treatment and hygiene measures at the stages of implantation and prosthetics of elderly patients

The dissertation is devoted more effective prevention and treatment of inflammation of the oral mucosa in elderly patients with intraosseous implants by development of treatment and hygiene complex and rational methods hygienic oral care of patients with dentures based on implants. Experimental studies have shown that the proposed oral gel virtually eliminates all signs of inflammation that develop in experimental animals with experimental periodontitis. Microbiological studies showed high antibacterial activity of proposed composition regarding the test strains and mixed microflora. The study of the microflora species composition of mucosa around implants confirmed the clinical efficacy of the proposed medicament composition. Clinical and laboratory studies showed greater efficacy of the proposed treatment and hygiene compositions in elderly patients with implants in immediate and long term, compared with the control group. Under the influence of treatment revealed more beneficial microbiota state of periimplant areas, confirming the effectiveness of treatment.
