Petrenko I. Weeds harmfulness and optimization of its control in agrotcenosis of sugar beet under different farming systems in the Right Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine

The thesis is devoted of development and implementation of effective protection of sugar beet from weeds and warnings of possible yield losses of compliance with the economic feasibility and environmental acceptability of control measures infestation of sugar beet in the Right Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. As a result of research the comparative evaluation of the effectiveness of weeds control systems of sugar beet in the industrial, environmental and biological farming systems combined with differentiated, subsurface ploughing, periodical mouldboard tillage and superficial tillage in crop rotation and explore the technological packages of herbicides. Determined harmfulness of the most problematic weed species in sugar beet crops, depending on their abundance and participation in weed synusia. Improved method for determining the economic efficiency and environmental expediency of weeds control measures with using nomograms for determining quantities of weeds harmfulness.
