Kononenko O. Diagnosis and treatment of iatrogenic ureteral injuries in oncological patients

Work is devoted to the diagnostics, improvement of indications and surgical treatment results of iatrogenic ureteral injuries in oncological patients. Clinical data of 119 oncological patients with iatrogenic ureteral injuries was analyzed. Patients were divided into two groups depending on efficacy of oncological diseases treatment. Group 1 consisted of 74 patients with cancer remission and group 2 included 45 patients with cancer recurrence or progression. In patients with oncological remission plastic operations were performed in 48 (40,3%) cases, reconstructive - in 23 (19,3%), nephrectomy - in 3 (2,5%); in 41 (34,5%) patients with disease progression - palliative nephrostomy was performed. 4 (3,4%) patients underwent dynamical observation.
